This is a great family fun (or other group) day trip that I highly recommend. It is a one of a kind experience like no other. In addition to riding the rail to see southern Georgia, the train offers a "Snack Bar Car" as well! Be sure to check out the different schedules for different trips and stops. The SAM's Shortline also goes to the Vidalia Onion Festival! Don't miss the train's gift shop as well.
