Adam & Eve Hair Designers
3190 Atlanta Hwy
Just one more place to try out of many.
A Lafera Salon Inc
2440 W Broad St Ste 2
Very nice group of people. I work near the salon and the parking lot is always packed if this is any indication of their work. I believe most of the staff is fairly young in age, so you won't have a hard time getting something done that is in vogue.
398 Foundry St.
Great atomosphere and great salon. However, one of the more expensive in town. Two great stylists are Donna and Lyric--but if you want to get in to see Donna, be prepared to wait at least 6-8 weeks. Also, her assistant is kind of a jerk. Salon uses MOP and Redken products. I love this place, but I have a lot of trouble getting in for an appointment.
City Salon and Spa
100 Athens Town Boulevard
Had a bad experience with a rude manager at front desk. Make sure you are aware of the late policy--they will turn you away! However, LeLe is a great stylist. Even if you don't need your hair done go by and check out the jewelry they sell. Salon uses Bumble & Bumble products.
Dree & Co A Hair Studio and Wellness Spa
497 Prince Ave
Have never actually been to this salon before but have heard good things from those who have. Good starting prices, not one of the most expensive salons in town.
187 N Lumpkin St
Great place located in Downtown Athens. This allows you to grab a quaint lunch with your best friend before an afternoon of pampering if you wish. Salon uses Aveda products.
920 Baxter St
This is actually a non-profit spa located close to campus. I believe the stylists donate their time and the money goes to benefit different charitable organization around town. I have heard great things--go support the community and look beautiful while you do it!
220 North Milledge Ave
Can be seen easily driving down Milledge. They also have a little boutique in the same building that sells clothes and jewelry. Salon is also a spa and if you want to go with a "New Talent" stylist you can get a price cut. Check out website--it's pretty fancy.
Lock Nest Inc
156 College Ave #A
Another downtown spot. Kind of pricy, might be local interest only--I've never heard of anyone who goes here.
Rage Hair Studio
132 College Avenue
Went for a while but left due to hairdresser's lack of personality. Salon is downtown and features TIGI products which they will always try to sell you. If you really want TIGI products, just go to Target. I do know a lot of men who prefer this salon and they will validate your parking downtown which is a plus.
1625 S Lumpkin St
Offers a student discount! Located in Five Points right next to Jittery Joe's.
